8:48 p.m. Seven’s a crowd


The University of Maine Police Department received a report of excessive noise and possible underage drinking in a third-floor room of Cumberland Hall at 8:48 p.m. Feb. 1. Officers arrived at the room and found seven underage students, four males and three females, playing loud music and drinking Captain Morgan Rum, Orloff Vodka and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. All seven of the room’s occupants were referred to Judicial Affairs for possession of alcohol by a minor.




4:53 p.m. Hood stomp


UMPD received a report of criminal mischief in the Hilltop parking lot at 4:53 p.m. Feb. 3. The hood of a female student’s car, left in the lot from Jan. 30 to the time of the report had been damaged, and officers observed footprints on the hood, suggesting the damage was done by someone jumping on it. Repairs are estimated to cost $150.
