BOWDOINHAM, Maine — More than two dozen marijuana plants were stolen overnight Tuesday from a Bowdoinham medical marijuana supply company.

Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Brett Strout said Thursday that 38 plants, along with a grow light, were taken from Maine Green Cross on Ridge Road.

The company is owned by Ron Norton.

Citing an ongoing investigation, Strout declined to release additional details.

According to the Maine Green Cross Facebook page, “The meds they stole would have helped ease the suffering over the next five weeks of more than a thousands patients. I hope they can live with themselves having caused that much pain and bad karma.”

An employee who answered the phone Wednesday morning said the company does not speak to the media.
