Four nabbed in ongoing Waterville drug trafficking investigation

Drugs, guns retrieved from School Street apartment

WATERVILLE — Police arrested four people and seized a variety of drugs and firearms Friday afternoon at a School Street apartment in connection with an eight-week drug-trafficking investigation.

The arrests took place after police executed a search warrant at 13 School St., Apartment 5, according to Waterville Deputy Chief of Police Charles Rumsey.

The apartment is several houses away from the Albert S. Hall School, a fourth- and fifth-grade elementary school.

The arrested suspects are Ryan Schall, 20, of 6 Bellevue St., Apartment 2, Winslow; Jill Longstaff, 36, of 253 Augusta Road, Winslow; Havier Olmo, 29, of in Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Nicole Gormley, 20, of 4 Main Place, Apartment 1, Waterville.

Twice after her arrest, Longstaff suffered seizures that prompted her to be taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Police arrested Olmo first after seeing him walking on School Street. Old Orchard Beach police already had issued an arrest warrant for him for failing to appear on a charge of refusing to submit to arrest. When police arrested him on Elm Street, he tried to escape by running down the street in handcuffs, Rumsey said.
