Wiscasset Police Dept. recorded the following incidents in its log for August 4-11, including 46 property checks and various other services:

Sgt. Kathy Williams checked on Coastal Electronics, Inc. on Gardiner Road where an alarm went off from an open garage door. Status was all set.

Reserve Patrolman Donald Smith checked on Ames Supply building. There was a false alarm from back room motion. Building was secured.

Animal complaint

Chief Troy Cline found a dog roaming around the waterfront and located the owner.

Assault

Patrolman Perry Hatch arrested Bryan B. Buck, 61, Wiscasset on a charge of assault at Wiscasset Airport parking lot where the assault was reported.

Assist citizen

Chief Troy Cline rendered assistance to a caller on Main Street in front of Golden Wok who said she put the wrong key in the ignition of her car and could not remove it. After a failed attempt to do so, caller said she had a mechanic coming to take care of the problem.

Patrolman Perry Hatch responded for service to a male subject caught halfway out of motor vehicle on Summer Street. Subject reportedly slipped between vehicle and wheelchair. Someone else arrived to help him.

Assist other agency

Patrolman Alfred Simmons and Sgt. Kathy Williams assisted Dep. Kevin Dennison in making an arrest for possession of marijuana, of a juvenile male, 17 walking by the racetrack. Parent requested that the subject to be taken to Mid Coast Hospital.
