PORTLAND, Ore. – Investigators from a special Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office unit seized two pounds of hashish from a medical marijuana caregiver in a SE Portland parking lot on Wednesday morning.

According to Lt. Steve Alexander, members of the Special Investigations Unit set up an undercover sting to get the drugs. They arranged to make the buy in a lot at SE 162nd and Division.

Hashish is a concentrated form of marijuana.

During the sting, investigators moved in an arrested 30-year-old Michael Allen Conway. They also found he was carrying an 8-inch knife, which Conway claimed he carried for protection in case he was robbed, Alexander said.

Conway told deputies he is a white supremacist and has multiple tattoos associated with supremacist groups, Alexander said.

Conway was taken to jail and charged with delivery and possession of marijuana.
