Kirchherr, Lorrain elected to Paris Board of Selectmen

Paris residents vote Tuesday at the Paris Fire Station, electing officers and passing ordinances. The town meeting will re-convene Saturday at 10 a.m. to act on the warrant.

PARIS — Residents elected Robert Kirchherr and Ryan Lorrain to the Board of Selectmen by strong majorities Tuesday. Kirchherr got 176 votes; Lorrain 148.

They succeed Raymond Glover and Lloyd “Skip” Herrick who did not seek re-election.

Other selectmen candidates were: ATV Club trailmaster John Goodwin who received 64 votes, and business owner and former Budget Committee member Charles “Tom” Hurd who received 62, according to Paris Town Clerk Elizabeth Knox.

Kirchherr and Lorrain ran in elections last fall. Kirchherr ran unsuccessfully for the Oxford County Commission against Caldwell Jackson of Oxford and Lorrain narrowly lost a race for Maine House
