Cuttino Mobley: Cuttino Mobley helps finance pot dispensary

Cuttino Mobley, who is hoping to return to the NBA despite a chronic heart ailment, has helped to finance a $1.6 million loan for medical marijuana dispensaries in Maine.
Mobley intended to open dispensaries in Rhode Island, but legal hurdles have (at least temporarily) scuttled those plans. On Wednesday he co-founded the “Wellness and Pain Management Connection LLC,” which on Thursday provided financing for Maine-based dispensaries, at 8.5% interest plus consultation fees. He said he is interested in helping people, and by NBA standards this sounds like a decent business move, but it may not help his longshot bid to make an NBA roster. Aug. 5 – 4:54 pm et
